MELLOW MEN OF MICHIGAN RECOGNIZED!

"The Historic 7 Mellow Men is widely recognized as the greatest class (1968 - 1972) of student-athletes in the 146-year history of the winningest college football program in NCAA history—The University of Michigan. Known for their unmatched contributions both on and off the field, the Mellow Men helped shape the legacy of Michigan Wolverines football under legendary coach Bo Schembechler."

On Friday, April 25, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., the Mayor of Ann Arbor will present a proclamation of recognition to the Mellow Men at Ann Arbor City Hall, located at 301 E. Huron Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. Following the Mayor’s presentation, brief remarks will be shared by Mellow Men members Glenn Doughty, Tom “TD” Darden, Reggie McKenzie, Mike Oldham, and Billy “BT” Taylor.

Additional comments will be made by the President of the Detroit M Club and other distinguished guests. After the remarks, the event will continue at 1345 Geddes Avenue, where a historic marker will be officially erected and dedicated on the property. Eleanor Blackwell will provide further updates as plans continue to develop.
